  • Registration is open to all members when the workshop is announced.

  • Registrants will be added to the attendee list in order of deposits received. If the workshop is full, individuals will be added to the waiting list. (See deposit information outlined below)

  • There are no shared or partial registrations permitted. In fairness to the instructor, it will be expected that all participants plan to attend the full workshop.



  • Deposits should be sent to the Treasurer:

  • A non-refundable deposit of $50 per workshop is required to hold a place in the workshop.

  • Check must be made payable to South Florida Calligraphy Guild, and dated the day of registration. Post- dated checks will not be accepted. Include the name of the workshop on the notation line.

  • Each individual will be notified of payment status by the Treasurer via email when payment arrives.

  • Checks will be deposited upon arrival.

  • Note: The checks of individuals who are placed on a waiting list will be deposited when a spot becomes available. If no spot opens, the check will be returned or destroyed


Workshop Fees

  • Note: There may be additional costs associated with the workshop (handouts, supplies, etc). 

  • Membersʹ Fee is the announced fee; non‐members’ fee is an additional $20.00.

    • Nonmembers can choose to apply this $20 fee towards guild membership. 

  • The balance of workshop fee is due 45 days prior to workshop. 

  • Refunds of the balance are given only under the following circumstances:

    • If someone takes a registrant’s place. Replacements will be sought first from the waiting list, and then by soliciting other members and guilds.

    • In the case of hospitalization or death in the immediate family (spouse, child, or parent).

    • If the workshop is cancelled. 


Cancellation of the Workshop

  • The workshop will be cancelled if the minimum number of registrants have not sent in their deposits.

  • If cancelled, the deposit and any other payments collected will be returned.
